• Wisley Gardens Trip - Year 2

  Year 2 enjoyed a great trip to Wisley Gardens. They got to explore the beautiful grounds, including the Rose Garden which smelt wonderful. All the children looked for living things in the pond area, under the logs and stones. They also enjoyed running nets through the meadow area and finding all sorts of bugs, beetles and butterflies.  Each child was able to plant their own Cornflower seeds, and now we are hoping they all grow. Obviously the best part of the day was having lunch!

• Wellington Country Park Trip - Year 1

  Year One children visited Wellington Country Park and had a fantastic day!   We thoroughly enjoyed the pond dipping workshop led by the Wellington Country Park staff.   We found some amazing creatures in the pond and named them using the pond dipping animal guides.   There were lots of cased caddis fly larvae and we found a freshwater hoglouse.

  The farm had a variety of animals and we really enjoyed learning the names of some different animals and talking about their habitats. 

  The dinosaur area was good fun and we all laughed lots when trying to pronounce some of the names of the dinosaurs.
