Mrs Hallett welcomes you to Squirrel Class 

In Squirrel Class we all love coming to school and learning about exciting new things. Our lovely learning environment encourages us to explore and be curious. We are able to confidently apply our new learning within our play both inside and outside of the classroom.   

We have a great area for role play, which changes regularly depending on our topic.  This gives us the opportunity to act out our new learning. Within our construction area we can use the many different construction materials to make great models enhancing our imagination. We love making up stories using the different small world equipment too.  

We value the importance of books and have a cosy book area where we can enjoy sharing books with an adult or our friends.  

To encourage our mark making and writing we have lots of fun resources to encourage us to draw, paint and write. We use chalk outside, write in sand, use charcoal and paint as well as felt tips, colouring pencils and pens.  

We really enjoy exploring our exciting outside area, especially the mud kitchen area where we can make mud pies, soup and other delicacies. We love getting in the sand pit with our wellies on and also exploring how water flows in the drainpipes and tubes. We are very lucky to be able to go outside in all weathers. 

Throughout our learning environment the adults who are working with us support us to develop our literacy and maths skills through fun games and activities.
  

We are especially good at following the Golden Rules by being kind and gentle, working hard and listening carefully. 

We are all super squirrels in Squirrel Class!
