Today was not just any Monday but Maths Day! The terrible Mrs Fennell had stolen all of the class reward jars and the children had to find the code to unlock the padlocks – a whole school escape room!

Each class had 9 challenges to complete to earn puzzle pieces which revealed the special code. The children made numbers in the outside areas, investigated the playground for shapes, clocks and measurements, practised counting in twos, played maths games and even made charts to find out the most popular  dinners. We had lots of children saying ‘Maths is fun!’ and the children certainly got to see just how much Maths is in the world around them.
