Yr R Finkley Down Farm Trip

Today our Year R children set off on their very first school trip to Finkley Down Farm. Despite the less-than-perfect weather, it certainly didn’t dampen our spirits and the children had a truly fantastic day! They enjoyed a range of exciting activities, including a lively sheep race, learning how to safely feed the animals and even grooming Bobby the miniature pony. The children showed great care and respect throughout the day, particularly when handling some very young rabbits. The children were especially excited to meet some of the farm’s more unusual residents, including llamas, tortoises and playful meerkats. They loved getting up close to the animals and watching their different behaviours, chatting enthusiastically about their favourites as they explored. Their curiosity and excitement shone through, making these moments particularly memorable. Well done to our amazing Year Rs for such a memorable first school trip.
