Victorian Day- February 2016
As part of our topic, on Friday 5th February Year 2 came to school as Victorian Children. We experienced what it would have been like to be a Victorian child!
The children attended a Victorian school room where they did handwriting, arithmetic and drill, all lead by a rather scary Miss Wall! In Miss Jewell's class the children got the chance to learn what Victorian toys were like and how they are different from today. With Mrs Fennel the children experienced a Victorian washday and even got to use a mangle!
It was a fantastic day, the children loved the experience and it really brought learning to life.
